REDDITCH MP Karen Lumley dropped in on the town’s fire station this week to find out more about the recently updated air foam system, and find out about the different kinds of incidents firefighters face in the area.

She said: “The fire service does a wonderful job for this town and I was delighted to visit and inspect the new air foam system, which will help improve the work they do. The staff at Redditch Fire Station are always very enthusiastic and passionate in their work and it was a real pleasure to meet and discuss a range of issues.”

Station commander Phil Berry from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, added: “Red Watch was on duty as Karen visited the station and she was able to watch the crew as they trained with the new Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) appliance.”
