THERE were celebrations in Redditch when a support group marked a great achievement.
The Redditch Stroke Support Group recently received its five year Certificate of Achievement from the Stroke Association in London, and Karen Lumley, Redditch’s MP, met the group to congratulate members.
A spokesman said: “Many people who’ve been affected by stroke find help and support from others who have had similar experiences.
“The Redditch Stroke Support Group offers invaluable peer and social support. Through regular meetings and a programme of activities, it invites people to come together, share experiences, regain confidence, relearn skills, and try out new things.
“So if you have had a stroke, or know someone who has, the group meet on Wednesdays fortnightly, from 10.30am -1pm at Loxley Close Community Centre, Church Hill.”
