Half term fun for the young at Studley Garden Centre

Meet a meerkat at Studley Garden Centre
STUDLEY Garden Centre will be hosting a range of fun and educational activities for children during half term, which will take place from Wednesday to Friday, February 20-22.
Potato potting sessions will be held at the Henley Road-based garden centre on Wednesday and Friday from 11am -4pm, giving children the chance to learn how to pot, grow and care for their own potatoes. Their potted potatoes will then be theirs to keep for home growing, until they are ready for cropping and eating.
Thursday sees ‘Trevor Hill’s Animal Encounters’ running from 11am-4pm at the centre. Children can meet a range of fascinating and unusual animals, ranging from tarantulas and tortoises to reptiles and insects. Trevor will be on hand throughout the workshop to provide fun facts about the animals, as well as providing an insightful question and answer session. Other animals on display include meerkats and armadillos - with children even getting the chance to have a photograph taken with their favourite animal.
Studley Garden Centre’s CEO Boyd Douglas Davies said: “It can be tricky keeping the kids entertained during half term. The potato potting sessions and ‘Animal Encounters’ activities we are running are both fun and free of charge, which we hope will be of help to parents.”
Other attractions at Studley Garden Centre during half term include hook-a-duck fair games, and a candy floss stall that provides the perfect refreshment between activities.
There is also a bouncy castle on-site every day which is free of charge, offering an extra idea to keep the children happy at half term.
