WINYATES residents are being urged to attend the next PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting after invitations were sent out to homes in the area.

It will take place at 10am tomorrow, Saturday, January 19, at the grass area near the footbridge by Dolben Lane.

Winyates officer PC Paul Kennedy said: "This style of street meeting has previously proved very successful as a lot of people have attended who wouldn't normally come to the formal meetings. It is all about taking PACT to a wider cross-section of people and trying to ensure that the priorities we deal with are representative of the community as a whole."

Feedback will be given on the priority issue raised at the last PACT meeting in December which focused on residents concerns over the recent bin fires that were happening in the area.

Anyone living or working locally is welcome to attend the meeting and they will have the opportunity to speak to a PACT panel member and raise any issues they may have.

If for any reason they cannot make it but want to raise an issue they can still do so by contacting the Winyates local policing team either by phone on 0300 333 3000, ext 4188, or by emailing winyates.lpt@westmercia.pnn.police.uk.

More information about PACT meetings and the PACT process is available on the force website under the Local Policing heading.
