Wheely good news for care home residents
11:40am Sunday 13th January 2013 in Local
RESIDENTS at Bowood Mews Care Home in Redditch are set to benefit after receiving a brand new mobility minibus.
The minibus is one of 200 being delivered to all care homes run by HC-One, a care operating company.
Each minibus has been specifically modified for the needs of residents and will help them enjoy more outings and hopefully lead a fuller life.
HC-One Managing Director Pam Finnis, said: “The arrival of the minibus fleet is a milestone for the company.
“HC-One’s aim is to provide the kindest care in the country and enabling residents to enjoy life in the community around the home is fundamental to achieving this aim."
The minibuses have been specially converted to become wheelchair accessible, with a new floor fitted to each for seat belt fixings, along with a tail lift, a skylight hatch and heating.
