WHERE Next Association in Redditch is looking for two people to join its friendly team of volunteers and teaching assistants.

One male and one female are being sought to work with 14-19 year olds with severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities and challenging behaviour.

They will be working under the supervision of qualified tutors, teachers and training assistants and will need to be available in term time on Thursdays between 9.30am and 2.30pm. On the job training will be given.

The successful applicants will need to have a desire to work with people with special needs, previous experience an advantage but not necessary, be reliable, understand the importance of confidentiality and follow the charity’s confidentiality procedure, be a keen gardener, be good at team working, be willing to learn new skills, and essentially, they must have a good sense of humour.

They must also agree to a police check, which Where Next will pay for.

Business support manager Karen McVeigh said: “If you think this is something you would like to do please contact me on 01527 69955 for more information and an application pack.”
