AN e-fit of a man police would like to talk to in connection with an attack on a female dog walker in October has been released.

The attack happened at 2.30pm on Wednesday, October 10, along Wild Goose Lane near the Arrow Valley Country Park.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was walking along the lane with her dog off the lead when a man lunged at her from the undergrowth and grabbed her arm. The dog then bit the man on his left forearm and the woman threatened to set the animal on him, at which point he ran off down the path.

The man is white, aged between 25 and 30, medium build, very short dark hair and was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and trainers.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Ryan Townsend said: "Thankfully the woman and her dog were not hurt and were able to scare the offender off.

"It is important that we trace this man. He would have gone away with a nasty injury to his arm, so someone out there must know who he is."

Anyone with information should call DC Townsend at Redditch Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident reference 222-N-171012, or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
