THREE Redditch students have been awarded a prestigious scholarship.
The students, Laura Forty, Laurie Payne and Robin Tandy, were awarded Academic Achievement Scholarships by the University of Worcester after achieving top grades in their assignments.
They were among a small number of students to achieve the £1,000 scholarship.
20-year-old Miss Forty, from Astwood Bank, said: “To be awarded an acclaimed university scholarship is an absolute honour.
“Not only do I feel thrilled to achieve such a prestigious award, but I feel extremely grateful that the University of Worcester has created such a fantastic opportunity that is guaranteed to stand students in good stead for their future career prospects, while giving them well-earned recognition.”
The university’s vice chancellor professor David Green said that the scholarships are a testament to their hard work and commitment to their studies.
