THE Drifters, one of the biggest selling bands of all time, will be coming to Redditch.
The group was formed in 1953 by lead singer Clyde McPhatter and Ahmet Ertegun - founder of Atlantic Records.

Today, The Drifters are one of the longest running pop groups in history and are still, to this day owned by The Treadwell Family.
There have been more than 65 vocalists in the group’s incredible 59-year history and the current line up pay homage to the former members of this line up, including Clyde McPhatter, Rudy Lewis, Ben E King, and Johnny Moore.
The group has collated a huge catalogue of more than 50 hits, selling more than 214 million singles and 114 million albums across the world.
As part of the Masquerade Tour the band will be playing at the Palace Theatre on Thursday, November 1.
