A STOURBRIDGE man and business finance specialist has been appointed as a director of national investor firm Seneca Partners.
David Totney, who has a 25 year background in secure lending, joins the company’s Birmingham team as it aims to drive growth and develop its secured lending operations.
He will also work with Urica Limited, a global early payments network for small and medium sized enterprises (SME), alongside his role at Seneca.
Mr Totney said: “I’m delighted to join Seneca and help to build on its success in the Midlands.
“Seneca takes an entrepreneurial approach to its business - meaning we often have a greater degree of latitude in terms of segment and size to provide access to finance for small and medium sized businesses in a range of ways.”
His previous senior positions include founder CEO of ABL business Liquidity Ltd, which was bought by Santander Corporate Bank, where he later became head of invoice finance and executive board director of Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.
Director Nick Leitch said: “It’s an exciting time for David to be joining Seneca and his experience and skills set adds yet another dimension to our niche offering.
“The expansion of the business highlights our need to bolster our senior specialist resource to continue to support our SME customer base and investor network, as well as seek out new opportunities for growth.”
