WEST Bromwich-based construction company Anglo Holt has started work on a Premier Inn hotel in Dudley.
The firm was awarded the £2.5 million design and build contract by clients Stoford. Planning permission for the three-storey, 63-bedroom hotel on Castlegate Business Park was granted by Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council earlier this year.
It will include a café and 60 parking spaces.
Anglo Holt managing director Andy Elwell said: “The timber-frame building features a new format for the hotel chain and will incorporate public art features. This is our first project with Stoford and we look forward to demonstrating our expertise in hotel construction.”
The 28-week hotel project is due to be completed in May, 2013.
Anglo Holt has an annual turnover in excess of £50 million and employs around 100 people.
