So, your teenager's revising right?

Good one.

'She snapchats all the time you know. Em snapchats all the time and then she's on facebook and that twitter talking to all her friends and she really should be revising'. Yeah thanks Mum. Go stereotype me with your cutting words.

Facebook, twitter, snapchat, tumblr, blah blah blah blah blah great. There's no point lecturing your teenager about getting off that 'ghastly technology' because that's really not the real problem. What distracts RT could literally be anything.

Here are my top 5 from today:

1. FOOD

    - go downstairs for a snack... thinking just a biscuit or something of the sort and then you remember what a culinary GOD you are and whip out the Jamie Oliver cookbook and start casually making a souffle. With 20 minutes to make and 30 minutes to cook it's not going well for your 15 minute break.

2. 'EXERCISE'

    - decide you're going to do some sort of exercise so you pop on the trainers for a quick run then pass the kitchen on the way out and number 1 happens.

3. HOW BAD RT'S FEET SMELL

    - can be a major problem and distraction. Need I say more?

4. THE TEMPERATURE OF THE ROOM

    - open the window, close the window, put socks on, take socks off, put your hair up, take off your jumper, go and borrow Dad's fan heater, go and get a hot water bottle, fill up the water bottle in the kitchen and BAM- number 1.

5. YOUNGER SISTERS

    - Em will you play with me? Will you give me a makeover? Will you do my eyebrows? Will you play piano with me? Can I borrow your shoes? Will you help me make sock bunnies? Will you play catch with me? Can I watch your dvd? Can I bake with you? Will you take me to Birmingham? IT'S.NEVER.ENDING.

To conclude, when you hate revision so much that the scent of your own feet is enough to distract you, Facebook etc really aren't a problem.
