AS part of the June Festival Season Alcester’s annual duck race is all set to get under way.
The race will be held at 4pm this Saturday, June 27 starting at Gas House Lane and racing to Oversley Green down the River Arrow.
This is the 3rd annual duck race which raises money for the town’s Christmas Lights and bunting arrangements which are provided during Alcester’s June Festival Season.
Duck numbers have been on sale in High Street all week and are still available at Morris Mica, the local hardware store, as well as outside Waitrose.
This year the race will be started by Alcester Guides and Scouts supported by mayor Mike Gittus and members of the Court Leet.
