FROM the planet Krypton to the town of Alcester, actress Sarah Douglas went to Venue Xpresso to support its new Strength over Adversity exhibition.
Sarah has made her name as the woman you love to hate in movies such as Superman II as the evil Ursa, and TV series Falcon Crest as Pamela Lynch, and is now making a return to Alcester, being an ex-Alcester Grammar School pupil.
The exhibition has been organised by proprietor Carol D Lane, who has commissioned six Alcester artists to provide their own interpretation on events in the town last year that touched people's lives, such as the Atherstone-on-Stour warehouse fire.
Sarah said: "I have been involved with Carol's gallery right from the start and obviously I wanted to show my support for everything Carol is trying to achieve in commemorating all that Alcester endured last year.
"It's great to be involved. I even missed a red carpet night in London to be here. Mind you, Carol does make a mean cup of coffee."
The exhibition runs from Saturday, July 5 to Friday, July 18.
