A VEHICLE involved in a hit-and-run collision with a police officer was found abandoned in Bidford.
The officer, who sustained minor injuries to his leg, was taken to Evesham Hospital following the crash in Rynal Street, Evesham, at 1.20pm today (Tuesday, February 7).
West Mercia Police are appealing for information on the abandoned silver Honda Estate found in Longford Close.
Worcestershire Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: "Thankfully the officer involved in this incident has not been seriously injured but this could have been very different. I ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has seen a silver Honda Estate in or around the Evesham area in recent days to make themselves known to police.
"Similarly, anyone who saw the vehicle, or the occupants, near to Longford Close in Bidford-upon-Avon is asked to call 101, you could hold key information which could assist the investigation."
Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting incident number 311S of February 7.
