A FALLEN tree that caused a blockage near Gunnings Bridge, Alcester, has now been removed.
The tree is believed to have dropped into part of the River Arrow, upstream of the bridge, on Friday, December 23.
Following this, members of the public contacted the Environment Agency, who came to the site to assess the obstruction.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: "We’ve been notified of a fallen tree upstream of Gunnings Bridge, Alcester.
"The weather has allowed us to remove the tree identified and two further trees which were in danger of falling into the river, potentially causing a blockage, with the majority of work completed by the new year."
