A MAN was attacked with a bar and snooker cue after being pelted with eggs from a moving car, during a shocking attack in Alcester last week.

The violent incident happened on Wednesday, July 27 at 11.40pm, as the victim waked along St Faiths Road.

First he was hit by eggs by youths in a small silver car that driving around the estate at speed, the car then stopped nearby the man and the occupants, a group of five youths, got out and attacked the man with a bar and then continued to hit and kick him while he was on the floor.

They also hit him using the snooker cue that he was carrying, before it broke in half.

The youths then made off towards Castle Road.

The injured male pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment.
