THE Alcester branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) is holding a 95th birthday celebration and awards night at the Jubilee Centre.
The event, in St Faiths Road, will include the presentation of 25 awards by county legion president Bob Stevens to collectors who have given between five to 40 years’ service to Poppy Appeal.
There will be a talk by John Bunting on his journey to The Death Railway in Thailand and a raffle with proceeds going towards the cost of the night.
This will be followed by a light supper.The event is taking place at 7pm on Friday, June 3.
