WITH bluebells in full bloom, visitors to Ragley Hall are being invited on guided walks in Ladies Wood.

The tour will take visitors past the Lakeside Lodge and on a trail to Ragley’s ancient woodland, which is carpeted with bluebells.

Head gardener Mark Morrell and his team will be leading the scenic springtime walks across the mansion’s grounds.

Appropriate footwear and pre-booking is essential.

All tours, which take between 45 and 1 hour, will be at 2pm and will run on May 1,2,5,6, and 8.

It takes at least five years for a bluebell seed to grow into a bulb and the UK is home to 50 per cent of the global bluebell population.

In the UK the bluebell is a protected species and it is a criminal offence to remove them.

The tours are included in the normal admission price.

Tickets to Ragley Hall, Park and Gardens are £10.50 for adults, children up to 16 are £6.50, senior citizens cost £9 and under 5s go free.
