BUS users will no longer be able to travel from Bidford and Alcester to Worcester after First Buses announced the cancellation of part of its X50 service, due to poor passenger numbers.
The company is revising the First Midland Red service which operated between Alcester, Bidford, Evesham and Worcester.
From Sunday, April 10 the services will only run between Worcester and Evesham.
The route had been extended as a trial to provide a link between villages.
General manager for First Worcester Sarah East said: "We extended the service from Evesham to Alcester as an experiment to provide a further link between the villages, unfortunately due to very few people using the X50 service between these locations we have no option but to withdraw the extension from April 10.
"We will however continue to run the X50 service between Worcester and Evesham, every hour Monday to Saturday in the daytime."
