A WOOTTON WAWEN luxury pet boutique director has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

Vikki Gordon, aged 38, who runs The Parlour Pet Boutique, based at Yew Tree Farm, is through to the final in the new business category of Networking Mummies Recognition Business Awards 2016.

The nomination was in recognition of the work Ms Gordon has done to build up her business which recently celebrated its first birthday after opening its doors in February last year.

Ms Gordon said: "I am absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in these national business awards.

"To be recognised for all the hard work is amazing."

Ms Gordon, a mother with two sons aged eight and 10, left a career as a senior nurse in the NHS to pursue her new ambition running a limited company.

The winners will be announced at a glamorous awards ceremony on Saturday, April 16 at Aston Villa Football Club in Birmingham.

This is the third year Networking Mummies UK Ltd have hosted their National Business Awards to recognise hard working parents across the country.
