A MUDDY platoon will take on a military-style assault course in the Ragley Estate to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

Runners will be bombarded with smoke, explosions, smells, sounds and music when they take on the ‘Major Midlands’ challenge on Saturday, March 12.

This is the first time The Royal British Legion Major Series course has taken place at Ragley, where there will be 5 and 10 km courses available.

New for 2016, the course will feature surprise ‘concept zones’ to immerse participants in the military themes.

At the finish line there will be family entertainment, music, drinks, cafes, merchandising and catering in ‘The Major’s Mess Tent’.

A spokesman said "It is not just a muddy challenge, but an experience like no other.

"Whatever your age or fitness level, immerse yourself in a different world as you take on the epic military obstacle zones."
