A TRAINING seminar hosted by David Baker Funeral Directors was held at Waterloo House Care Home in Waterloo Road, Bidford on Avon.

The main objective was to assist staff towards qualifying for their NVQ certificates while also explaining the role of a funeral director within the community and dispelling some of the myths and mysteries surrounding the profession.

Gabby Sanchez from the funeral home explained: "We are always happy to organise our free talks as it has been proven to help care staff. It is also an integral part of our service to the local community."

Katie Jones, manager at the care home, added: "We encourage our staff to attend a wide range of training in order to offer our residents the most professional care and were delighted that Gabby was able to present his seminar. We are arranging for another in the near future so that more of our staff may attend."
