PEOPLE looking to get into the Christmas spirit can visit Coughton Court near Alcester where nine days of festive fun will be taking place from next weekend.

From Saturday, November 28 until Sunday, December 6 visitors will be able to visit English Tudor country house where they will be greeted by a floor to ceiling Christmas tree, and during the week local schools and choirs will be singing carols in front of a roaring fire.

During the weekends from 10am, a traditional festive market will be lining the stableyard selling a variety of local produce and gifts, and a traditional English green Father Christmas will be in the sitting room to receive visitors.

Staff and volunteers at Coughton and visitors have been busy knitting and crocheting a variety of friendly woodland animals as this Christmas at Coughton, in the Bluebell Wood, the team have created a very special children’s trail called Woolly Woods.

The Coach House Shop will be selling a variety of seasonal gifts and treats and locally sourced Christmas lunches, mulled wine and mince pies will be available from the Coughton Kitchen Cafe.

Marketing and events officer Abi Cole said: “The team here at Coughton are so excited to host our sixth winter opening in the run up to Christmas.

“This is the perfect way to spend a memorable day with friends and family and the ideal opportunity to find unique gifts for your loved ones this Christmas.

“The whole team at Coughton have worked so hard making the house look magical and we can’t wait to see families enjoying the trail in the Bluebell Wood.”
