AN Alcester children’s football team has been handed a sponsorship boost from a Bromsgrove business.

Storax Racking Systems, based in Sherwood Road, funded a new kit for members of Alcester Town U12’s after the original sponsors backed out due to financial reasons.

Team manager Steve McAdam said: "I am extremely grateful to for their sponsorship and all the boys were thrilled to have a new kit to wear."

Sales and marketing director Jeremy Green said: "We are sure that Alcester Town U12’s will wear their new kit with pride and hope that it spurs them on to have a great season.

"Despite working all over the world we are very much rooted in the local area and it is great to be able to support the local community."

The team play matches on Saturday mornings in the Ambassador Evesham Football League and train on Wednesdays between 6.30pm and 7.30pm at Alcester Town Football Club in Stratford Road.
