FOOD lovers are being invited to sample a variety a tempting treats when the Great British Food Festival returns to Ragley Hall next weekend.

The two-day event will showcase free food demonstrations from famous chefs, more than 80 of the best local food producers and adult cookery classes.

A variety of entertainment including forager guided walks, hot food, real ale and wine bars, craft and gift stalls and activities for children will be taking place during the event.

The popular Great British Cake off and Men V’s Food competitions will be descending on the ground of the Palladian mansion giving visitors the opportunity to get involved.

Great British Bake Off finalist Luis Troyano and Master Chef’s Luke Owen will be giving cuisine demonstrations and regular artisan food talks will be taking place.

Visitors can try a variety of food, from the more exotic to prime steak,burgers and sausages for those with more traditional tastes.

Alan Granger, chief executive at Ragley, said: “We are delighted to yet again host the very popular Great British Food Festival.

“It’s a great opportunity to get a real taste of the best of Warwickshire and Great British produce to sample, enjoy and buy. The Festival has something for everyone and is a great day out for all the family and not just food enthusiasts.”

Tickets, which all include access to the grounds and gardens at Ragley, cost £8.50 per adult, £4.50 for 5-12’s, (under 5’s are free) and £25 for a family ticket.

The event is taking place between Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.
