AN Alcester youngster, whose father died from cancer, held a charity bake sale in his memory at Exhall Cricket Club.
Henry Clifton, aged 11, a junior cricket player at the club, raised more than £650 for Cancer Research UK in remembrance of Robin Clifton who died in March 2012.
About 40 club members and friends attended the event, which was held on Friday, August 14, close to Henry’s dad’s birthday which would have been on July, 24.
His mum, Helen Clifton, said: “He is very kind boy. I was very proud to think he wanted to do that in memory of his dad.
“Now he is thinking about the next thing. He may do a charity barbecue.”
Mrs Clifton added that she was surprised so many Exhall village residents baked cakes for the event.
For the bake sale, Henry made a chocolate cake and brother James, and mum, Helen, baked a Victoria sponge cake.
Previously, Henry, alongside his mum and brother, took part in a walk for the Myton Hospice, a charity which provides specialist palliative care, and raised £5,000.
