THE annual Coughton Court summer fete is set to take place at the weekend.

The fete, currently in its fifth year, is being organised jointly between the National Trust property and the local community to raise money for good causes.

A variety of traditional stalls, games, gifts and crafts will be available throughout the event.

Lisa Parry, operations manager at Coughton Court, said: “It’s fantastic to have such a great relationship with the Coughton community and to be able to host the annual village fete for the fifth year.

“So far over £3,000 has been raised and put towards projects at Coughton Primary School, Sambourne Cemetery and the ford area.

“As well as being a great cause, it’s an opportunity for us all to get together and share a fun day out.”

Holly Poncini, programming and family engagement officer, said: “Families here at Coughton love playing in the activity shed and we thought the fete would be the perfect opportunity to brighten it up in time for summer.

“We’ve given it a much needed lick of paint, put up some bunting and hopefully families will use it as inspiration for how to spend their time here at Coughton and what adventures they can have together on the grounds.”

The fete, which will be situated on the back lawn, is taking place on Saturday, July 18 between noon and 4pm.

Entrance to the fete and gardens is free.
