A CHARITY event to raise much-need donations for the restoration of an Alcester church is being held at the weekend.
The Garage Sale Safari is being held in High Street on Sunday, July 12 between 9am and 2pm in aid of St Nicholas’ Church.
Several homes in the area will be holding garage sales simultaneously and maps of the participating houses will be available from outside the church or from Venue Xpresso over the weekend for 50p.
Mike Gittus, Warwickshire County Councillor, Alcester Town Councillor and chairman of Stratford District Council, will be opening the event from a jumble sale at The Gables, Stratford Road, Oversley Green.
"This sounds like a fun community event for a worthwhile cause,” he said.
