A REVAMPED pharmacy in Alcester has been reopened by a long-standing customer.

Tracy Fordham, who has used store for two decades, was among town representatives, Alcester Court Leet High Bailiff Vaughan Blake and Alcester Town Councillor Mike Gittus, who is also a Warwickshire County Councillor and chairman of Stratford-on-Avon District Council, for the official opening with the store's Lloyds pharmacy team on Tuesday, June 30.

The High Street pharmacy has been transformed with modern make-over as part of a large-scale roll-out across the UK and is the latest of more than 350 stores to complete the transformation.

Pharmacy manager Sarah Wells said: “We’re excited by our transformation; we want our new store to become the destination of choice for customers looking for expert health advice.

“Our knowledgeable seven-strong team will be on hand to provide customers with individual expertise on skin health, helping those with skin conditions to effectively manage their condition with product selection support and application techniques.

“We know many who suffer from long-term health conditions don’t always want to go to their doctor every time they have a question.

“We’re able to support the work of GPs and other healthcare professionals in the area by offering convenient, one-to-one care that our local residents need and deserve.”

The enhanced services include additional support and consultations on pain management and quick and detailed summaries of skin types by using an innovative skin analyser which uses the latest technology to test skin elasticity and hydration.

From these summaries pharmacists can offer products suitable for each skin type or skin condition.
