THIS weekend visitors are being invited to come along to the annual Coughton Court duck race.

The event will see guests sponsor a duck and watch it travel down the River Arrow with the hope of winning a prize.

The two-day event is being held on Saturday 13 and Sunday, June 14 at 2pm and awards will be available for ducks in first, second and third place.

Abi Cole, marketing and events officer for the National Trust, said: “The duck race is always so much fun and it’s the perfect opportunity to get the whole family together for a day in the sunshine.

“The team here at Coughton always look forward to the duck race and there’s such an air of excitement as the ducks are cast off down the River Arrow and everyone follows them to catch a glimpse of the winning duck crossing the line.”

The restaurant will be open for visitors to enjoy a hot lunch, afternoon tea or traditional ice cream.
