THE red carpet will be rolled out for Alcester Court Leet’s Hollywood themed street market.

A range of stalls and family-focused entertainment will be put on during the event which is taking place on Sunday, June 14 and will see Alcester High Street closed until 6pm.

Kicking off the star-studded entertainment, a fancy dress competition will be held from 12.30pm in Bleachfield Street.

At 1.15pm, there will be a procession from Bleachfield Street to St Nicholas’ Church Green where prizes for the best dressed will be awarded.

Alcester Victoria Silver Band and Alcester Male Voice Choir will perform a medley of movie scores on the Church Green.

Music will also be taking place outside the Three Tuns and a finale is planned outside at the Holly Bush and inside The Cross Keys.

Awards for best stall and best shop window will be announced at 3.15pm. The official closure will be followed by music outside the Turk's Head.

All money raised by the court leet will go towards the High Bailiff's charity fund.

The organising committee thank all individuals and organisations who contribute to the success of the event.
