PUPILS from Alcester and the surrounding district took part in an art competition arranged through the local branch of the Rotary Club.
This year’s competition focused on photography and the entries were judged by Peter Preece, a local artist and wildlife photographer, based in Studley.
Mr Preece said he was impressed by the standard of the work submitted.
The successful entries were displayed at an exhibition within Alcester Library.
The Under 11 competition winner was Lidia Belcour, from St Nicholas CE Primary School, with her photograph of a purple Primrose.
Also successful, Emiley Morris, from St Benedict's Catholic High School, in the age category 11 to 13, for her photograph of a ladybird and finally in the age group 14 to 18, Lucy Harvey, from Alcester Grammar School, scooped the prize for her photograph of raindrops on leaves.
Martin Hood, from Alcester Rotary Club, said: “Our thanks to all who enter and we received towards two hundred photographs, very well done.”
