ALCESTER Court Leet sampled the quality of the town’s fish, meat and bread during their annual traditional assize.
A range of businesses had a visit from court leet officers, including Alcester Square Fish Bar, which was recently reopened in the town.
Officers including high bailiff Vaughan Blake weighed, tasted and smelled the products before presenting businesses with a certificate and sprig of evergreen.
Traditionally, this even was a way of ensuring that produce was of good quality. All businesses inspected successful passed the inspection.
The event was held in High Street on Saturday, May 2.
