FAST food giant Burger King has opened a brand new restaurant in Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

The eatery, based in units 16 to 18, will create more than 30 new jobs and has space for 80 customers.

The restaurant has an assortment of comfortable seating, a bright colour scheme and food-focused graphics highlighting the Burger King brand.

Borja Hernandez, vice president and general manager for Burger King North Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa, said: “We are excited to expand the Burger King brand in this important market and look forward to welcoming guests in Redditch to experience the great-tasting, high-quality products that have delighted Burger King guests for 60 years.”

Lamen Reddy, operations director for CPL Foods, said: “We are thrilled to be opening a Burger King restaurant in Redditch.

“We have been really impressed with the shopping centre and the town itself since our first visit.

“We look forward to great success at this location and to serving the community for many years to come.”

A grand opening will be held on Saturday, April 18 at 11am where mayor of Redditch Pat Witherspoon will be in attendance.
