A KEEN fundraiser who works at Hillers on Dunnington Heath Farm is set to take part in Shakespeare Half Marathon.

Karl Mould, aged 24, will be running to help his friend Harry Dyke to raise £20,000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and the English Schools Cricket Association Under-15 Bunbury festival.

The marathon is being held on Sunday, April 26.

Mr Dyke, who also works at Hillers, is arranging a celebrity charity cricket match at Ragley Hall on Sunday, June 14. The event will see the biggest celebrity cricket club in the world, the Bunburys, who have raise more than £17 million for various charities, compete against Mr Dyke’s team called Harry the Fish XI.

Mr Dyke said: “Its people like Karl that spurs me on to make a lot of money for charitable causes.”

Mr Mould said he was absolutely delighted to be running for such a big name.

He added: “I can’t wait for both the cricket day and the marathon.

“I am very proud to have been asked to run for such a famous charity as the Bunburys and I hope other people would consider running on their behalf.”

Mr Dyke is also appealing for more people to take part in the marathon to raise even more cash for his chosen charities.

Anyone who runs on behalf of the Bunburys will receive a running shirt, sponsorship forms and a chance to be invited as a guest at the VIP lunch.
