PARENTS, children and friends were inspired to investigate science at Crabbs Cross Academy on Saturday, March 21.

The workshop explored a range of subjects from body health to electricity.

Both Crabbs Cross Academy and its sister school, Vaynor First School, are aiming to raise the profile of science and achieve the gold science mark by the end of the year.

Clare Stapes, science co-ordinator at the school, said: The turnout was great and the hall was buzzing. We want our children to aspire to jobs in the world of science and are looking for experts in any science discipline to come along and inspire our children.

"If anyone in Redditch can offer an hour to come and share their skills people contact me at Crabbs Cross. We would be very grateful."
