AN antiques shop in Little Alne near Alcester is set to star once again in the TV show Antiques Road Trip on Thursday, January 22.

Fabulous Finds Antiques was visited antiques experts Mark Stacey and Charles Hanson around two months ago. The shop was also featured in the show during the summer.

Mrs Caroline Howard, owner of Fabulous Finds Antiques, said at the time she saw an increase in footfall and she believes this will be repeated again after the second show is aired.

Mrs Howard, aged 53, has been running the shop for the past three and a half years.

She said: "It does work, people do watch this programme. I have owned the shop for three and a half years and I have enjoyed building up a customer base.

"As it was the second time it was a lot easier. My family are looking forward to seeing it, I am not so keen.

"It was very enjoyable to have them here."

The hugely addictive programme, which features classic cars provided by Great Escape in Inkberrow, near Redditch, is watched by millions.

During the show, two experts compete against one another with a starting budget of £200 by purchasing antiques and collectibles which are then sold at auction.

The winner is the person who makes the greatest profit.

The show will see the experts haggling with Mrs Howard to agree on a price.

Antiques Road Trip featuring Fabulous Finds Antiques shop will be aired at 4.30pm on BBC1.
