THE victims of an attempted robbery are offering a reward for any information which leads to a successful conviction.

The owners of AP Meats Limited, based on the Arden Forest Industrial Estate in Alcester, are offering up to £10,000 to anyone who can provide accurate details after masked men, armed with baseball bats, smashed the windows of one of their cars.

The attempted robbery happened in Broadway Road, after the victims - 50-year-old Andy Pattison and another 42-year-old man - had driven off the A46 in separate vehicles.

As they slowed down they were approached by a masked man wielding a baseball bat.

They both managed to drive away in their separate vehicles, and reach their home nearby, but the 42-year-old was then confronted by three men who smashed the windows of his car, leaving him with minor injuries. They ran off, but it is now known in which direction.

Mr Pattison said: “The offer of a reward will hopefully bring to justice the perpetrators of this crime. I would not like anybody else to have to go through the stress, fear and anxiety that me my family, friends and work colleagues have had to suffer.”

The incident happened at around 7pm on Sunday, December 21.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 591S of Sunday 21 December.
