THE closure of Honeybourne Road in Bidford-On-Avon will see the 247 bus unable to serve Marcliff, Cleeve Prior, North, Middle, South Littleton, Blackminster and Badsey.
The road will be closed to vehicles from Cleeve Road to the end of the bridge from January, 5.
Warwickshire County Council has announced the closure of the road to allow for footpath construction and resurfacing work to take place on the carriageway.
As a result, Diamond Bus Company will divert its 247 bus via a bypass route.
In a statement, posted on the bus company’s website, a spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this causes to passengers.
“School journeys from Cleeve Prior, the Littletons and Badsey to schools in Evesham, Blackminster and Alcester are being temporarily replaced.
“Diamond will update any changes regarding this diversion here and also on our Twitter and Facebook pages.”
It is anticipated the work will be completed by January 24.
A temporary traffic order has been put in place for the next 18 months allowing the council to keep the road closed if the work takes longer than expected.
Before work took place, businesses in the village were informed by the council in writing.
