AN Alcester based recruitment agency held a cake sale and raised around £135 for BBC Children in Need.

Staff at Arden Personnel organised a two-day bake sale on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14.

They visited around 20 neighbouring businesses to sell the treats.

Businesses were also invited come to the Arden Personnel offices where cakes could be purchased.

Lissa Fletcher, managing director, said: “We are really excited about getting involved with Children in Need this year because it is such an amazing cause and offers so much support and comfort to Children and their families across the UK. Nobody can fail to be inspired by their work and the team and I really want to do our bit.

“Everybody loves cake, we have some star bakers and super sales people amongst our team so a bake sale was the obvious choice for us.”

The small team on the Arden Industrial Estate are active fundraisers worked hard to bake cakes to sell for the charity.

All the money raised by the charity goes directly to UK projects working with children and young people affected by neglect, abuse or poverty and those suffering from serious illness, disabilities and psychological disorders.

The charity relies on the dedication of thousands of fundraisers across the UK, who give their time and money to support the appeal.
