PUPILS and teachers at from Wootton Wawen CE Primary School held a super heroes day to raise money for the BBC Children in Need appeal.

On Thursday, November 13, the youngsters took part in various activities including pin the bat on Batman's chest, catch the gold book thief and design a superhero mask.

The school raised around £130 for the charity.

Mrs Marion Jones, headteacher at the school, said: “We've had a brilliant day - I'm so proud of the way everyone has joined in to raise funds for Children in Need."

Mrs Jones also awarded prizes in each class for most imaginative super hero costume.

The school will be holding a stay and play session for prospective new pupils on Tuesday, November 18 at 1.30pm.
