A MUSICAL event in aid of a local charity will be held at Alcester War Memorial Town Hall.

On Friday, November 21, an evening entitled A Winter Warmer will be put on with entertainment, music and a fish and chip supper.

The money raised will be donated to Alcester Café, a local charity which supports people affected by dementia issues or memory problems.

Professional singer and songwriter Malc Evans, alongside his full band of professional musicians, will take to the stage in the Bailiff’s Room to perform a variety of songs.

Band member Nathan Bennett, who recently played keyboard on TV with Enrique Iglesias, and Jac Smith, from Bidford, who is known for her renditions of 1940’s classics will also join the front-man.

Suzanne Edkins, event organiser, said: “Alcester Café is held twice a week at The Jubilee Centre in Alcester and is a drop in centre for people with dementia or Alzheimers and their carers.

“It is run by volunteers and does magnificent work providing advice and support for many people going through a very difficult time.

“As it is an intimate venue there are only 80 seats available and tickets are selling well so I suggest people book early to avoid disappointment.”

Tickets cost £12.50 and include food.

To book contact Sue Edkins on 07889875361 or Malc Evans on 07968216980.
