A PROJECT between Alcester Academy and a company specialising in marketing for schools has now begun.

Funding Solutions for Education will provide presentation folders to be given out to parents, visitors, suppliers and any other contacts of the school over the next two years.

Companies will have the opportunity to pay for their business to be promoted in the folders and this could also help to raise money for the Academy, depending on how much money is offered.

The funds will be used towards a Saturday school for children in year 11 who need the extra sessions to catch up with the rest of the pupils.

Myles Reid-Smith, managing director of Funding Solutions for Education, said “In the current economic climate it is hard for businesses to find a budget to support local causes. With this project the companies who get involved benefit from targeted advertising as well as supporting the college.”

The maximum amount the school can raise from the project is £3,000.
