VISITORS are being asked to dig out their antiques and family heirlooms to find out what they are worth when the BBC TV programme, Flog It! comes to Ragley Hall.

On Thursday, November 27 between 9.30am and 4.00pm, the show presented by Paul Martin, will invite the public to bring along up to three antiques and collectables that they might be interested in selling.

The items will be valued for free and a team of experts, Charlie Ross, Will Axon and Christina Trevanion will then advise if they should go to auction.

Presenter Paul Martin said: “I’m delighted to be bringing Flog It to Ragley Hall, it’s a beautiful house and I hope as many people as possible will come along to see us with their items for valuation.”

Location manager Alex Habgood said: “Paul Martin and the entire Flog It team are really pleased to be bringing the show to Ragley Hall. We always receive a warm welcome when we come to Warwickshire, the hall will provide the perfect setting for our filming; our experts are all looking forward to welcoming people along for their free valuations in such special surroundings. If you’ve ever wondered how much your boot sale bargains or clutter in the loft might be worth, now is your chance to find out.”

Items selected on valuation day will then go under the hammer at Bigwood Fine Art Auctioneers, The Old School, Stratford upon Avon on Friday, December 19.

Recently the show uncovered a rare Aboriginal broad shield which sold at auction for £30,000 and an unusual Royal Doulton 'spook' figurine which was bought at a car boot sale for £2 and sold at auction for £5,000.

The show, which is on his fourteenth series and regularly achieves an audience of over two million viewers, will feature Ragley Hall in four editions within a year of recording.
