RAGLEY Hall will host a week of Halloween fun including pumpkin carving, spooky craft activities and scary story-telling.

Brave visitors will have the chance to take part in The Haunting – a chilling passage through the site’s haunted gardens that will feature ghostly special effects - while those seeking a little less terror can enjoy the adventure playground or terrace cafe.

The events, which will take place from Saturday, October 25, to Friday, October 31 at the historic hall near Alcester, will end with a bonfire and fireworks display on the Friday.

Andrew Mason, operations manager at Ragley Hall, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting our special Halloween fun week and our dramatic fireworks and bonfire evening.

“With our lakeside setting and stunning stately home backdrop, Ragley is an amazing location for the week’s activities.”

Gates to the bonfire event, which will also include fairground rides, food stalls, a licensed bar and live music, will open at 5pm. The giant bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks will light up the sky at 8.30pm.

Tickets cost £5 but admission is free for children under 5 and Ragley members.

Entry to The Haunting, which is open daily from 5pm to 9pm starting on Sunday, October 26, costs £10 per person or £14 for an all-day ticket.
