ALCESTER is to host its first ever arts festival.
The event will be held in Alcester High Street, Butter Street and Church Street on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31.
Six to eight artists from Alcester and the surrounding villages will be painting, drawing or sculpting in various venues throughout the town including The Turks Head pub and Cafe Xpresso.
The entertainment will start at 10am.
One of the artists Peter Kotka, who specialises in still life painting, has been featured in several exhibitions in the UK, America and France.
Children are being offered a chance to take part in an art competition. They are being asked create a picture on the theme of the summer holidays.
They can use whatever they would like the more imaginative the better.
They will then need to submit the drawings at Globe house or the library before Tuesday, August 26.
The winner will be announced on Saturday at the festival.
