THE Alcester & Stratford District Round Tablers raised an impressive £1,500 at the recent Court Leet Street Market in Alcester with its traditional pig roast.
The pig roast proved more popular than ever, with nearly 700 pork baps being sold as part of the market, raising a grand total of £1,510, a record figure for the pig roast.
Table chairman Richard Handy, said: “It was our busiest ever afternoon at the Street Market but with every penny set to benefit worthy causes, all the effort was well worthwhile.
“We’d like to thank Arden Construction who once again supported us with a donation of sand and blocks for the firepit, as well as everyone who bought a pork bap.”
