A WOOTTON Wawen man has been remanded in custody until February of next year after he appeared before magistrates this Tuesday charged with offences relating to car theft.
Jamie Gardner, 22, of Alcester Road, Wootton Wawen was charged along with a Stratford man, 34-year-old Anthony Hurley, with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
The two men were arrested on Birmingham Road, Stratford at approximately 3am on Monday, October 29 when police officers thought they were acting suspiciously, and subsequently charged them.
A set of discarded tools was found at the scene, along with a set of keys to a Mazda car, which had been stolen in a car key burglary in St Peter’s Way, Stratford.
Both men were charged with car key burglary, and appeared before magistrates on Tuesday, October 30, when they were remanded in custody until February 2013.
