THREE members of staff from the Redditch headquarters of a care home group put their best feet forward to join in the Worcester Memory Walk on Sunday, Ocotber 7.
Tracey York, Rachel Rees-Jones and Rose Maher, who work for Alpha Care Homes’ regional office in Moons Moat Drive, raised £200 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
It started from the Countryside Centre in Worcester, its way through a rout of five kilometres of woodland.
Tracey York, business development assistant for Alpha, said: “We did the walk in memory of all the past residents at our homes who are sadly no longer with us.
“At the same time we raised money for this worthy cause and we had a great time doing it.
“The day started with a balloon release and two minutes silence, which symbolised very well the reason we were taking part.”
Alpha owns nine care homes throughout the West Midlands and West Sussex.
Its Worcestershire homes are Tutnall Hall and Wayside, both in Bromsgrove, and Grosvenor House, in Alvechurch.
